Hoping you guys can help with this w25 hood. Ive had it for several years, paid next to nothing for it. The guy I got it from thought it was original, and for what I paid I didn't really care. I do not think it is OEM but have no idea who made it. It is fiberglass and metal.

I think it was about the simplicity of the die, to keep costs down. They were only $700 when they first came out.
I think The Parts Place was the first one advertising.
They were/are made in Taiwan.
Up until a couple months ago, they were selling for $1269 from a couple vendors.
That stock ran out, and a few owners are trying to ,capitalize on the shortage.
I bought mine thru RockAuto about 14 months ago. It came in a GoodMark box. It was $800
