1970 w25 hood- is it oem

Hoping you guys can help with this w25 hood. Ive had it for several years, paid next to nothing for it. The guy I got it from thought it was original, and for what I paid I didn't really care. I do not think it is OEM but have no idea who made it. It is fiberglass and metal.

Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.

Correct, it is a goodmark reproduction with a metal frame but incorrect/ different stamping vs original. Still, a new one is $2,000.

Seriously? Why in the world would a vendor spend the money for stamping dies that are incorrect? Or is that metal frame actually for a different car, like a GTO?

I think it was about the simplicity of the die, to keep costs down. They were only $700 when they first came out.
I think The Parts Place was the first one advertising.
They were/are made in Taiwan.
Up until a couple months ago, they were selling for $1269 from a couple vendors.
That stock ran out, and a few owners are trying to ,capitalize on the shortage.
I bought mine thru RockAuto about 14 months ago. It came in a GoodMark box. It was $800
