Selling at the OCA Nationals

Does anyone have any experience with setting up a booth at the Nationals?
Do people come to buy? Are all the folks that go already on this site?

I'd be looking at selling mainly '65 stuff but I'm not sure the crowd is big enough to merit the trip and cost.
Thoughts?

I didn't exactly have a booth, but did sell parts off a couple tables at last year's Nationals in Murfreesboro, TN. My inventory is typically '70 - '72, so I can't speak to the popularity of '65 stuff.

As far as your question about prospective customers at these types of events, heck ya, a lot of people work their way through the swap area looking for big and small ticket items. You may consider listing some items on this site to gauge interest and lock in some pre-sales whereupon buyers can save on shipping expense.

I have sold at two Nat meets. Both times I had some good parts, like D, and F heads, had no problem selling them fast, and at a good price. Other good stuff sold also OK. Just like selling anywhere, so so stuff harder to sell, and have to sell cheap. I live in Cal, and when I was at Reno, I had a couple guys, that lived on the east coast, and flew in, said if they had a truck, they would have bought a lot of my stuff ,as they said hard to find where they live, in good shape. To me best place to sell Olds parts, any year.

Really great comments. It might be something I consider.
Thank you guys...I guess I just have to consider whether a table or two full of '65 parts will move.
I know 70-72 parts are much easier.

My personal guess is that at an Oldsmobile National event there will be 65 people there as well.
