For those who haven't heard, the host hotel opens for reservations at the OCA Nationals group rate starting tomorrow Feb 14.

FYI, I was just able to reserve rooms at the Courtyard Marriott (next door to the host hotel) using Marriott points.

 

Same here. I just reserved a room at the Courtyard, I paid more but I'm confident I was going to get blocked out at the Host Hotel, I decided not to put up with the bs and I got it done. I put my name on the call back via the voice mail, but I seriously doubt I will hear from anyone.

Pardon me for being skeptical but I've been shut out before when a system like this was used. Not this time.

 

I called at 6 am today and the host hotel was sold out. The Hilton Honors rep told me that the Sales people at the hotel would make a decision on releasing another block of rooms when they got in. I called the hotel directly at 9:00 am and got a room.

It's my lucky day.
