Looking a a diecast '73 Cutlass Supreme. Anyone got any good resources?I may have better luck finding a needle in a hay stack!

No '73's that I'm aware of, only the 1/25 scale plastic promo stuff, it isn't very hard to find.

I see that. Historically I've always owned cars where that type of stuff isn't made because it's not "popular." Well, I'd rather be unique than popular!

Johnny Lightning/Playing Mantis made the '72 & the '74 Hurst Oldsmobiles. I'm not real familiar with the body style differences but if they are insignificant enough, it might not be visible in 1/64 diecast. I think that's about as close as you're going to get. I believe'74 was the big body style change so a '72 would probably be closer to what you want.

I have been waiting for someone to come out with a 65 Cutlass or 442. The only 65 replica that I have ran across is a guy on EBay selling resin kits in 1/24 scale. They are expensive as they usually sell for $60.00 and higher as the one currently listed is at $100.00. This is not even a complete kit.

Here's the guy, he's got quite a few Olds stuff, and you don't have to fight with someone on ebay that has deeper pockets. It's pretty easy to deal with these resin cars, you just gotta buy a "donor" kit which in the '65 case, I say the '66 442 model kit. http://www.resinrealm.net/Star/RRGalleries/RR_All.html

I was at Wal-Mart today and found a '71 Vista Cruiser! Ugly Lime Green w/two dogs sticking their heads out the back window. Usually a Matchbox casting is a rerun from a better casting from somewhere else. Anybody know the origins of this casting? I'm guessing it was Playing Mantis. They got pretty good there towards the end before Thomas Lowe sold all his supporters/fans out.

I'm pretty sure it's a new one, the only Vista Cruisers I've seen is the JL '64 and the Muscle Machines '71 which is a totally different casting.
