So On Your Way to the Show.....

I am looking forward to Spring 2021 Car Shows. God I love everything that has been made in our beautiful country. How do you arrange your trunk for a show ? Naturally don’t wanna dent any quarters? Milk crates ? I do not want anything banging around in The trunk.

I dunno what you take to a show, but I load up a wooden TV tray laid flat to display my build book/scrap book and some detailing products in a cardboard box for the final touch when I get there. My other items include vintage advertising materials from 1972, a custom vanity plate, and a 1/64 and 1/18 die cast. All these go in the back seat, so no worries with stuff banging around.

Car wax, cleaning supplies, paper towels, cloth towels etc. If I can’t find shade a 10x10 pop up is nice. Plus my skin can’t take the sun anymore. My nephew likes to pack the cooler. But he’s a military man - squared away. I am looking forward to Spring 2021. Fresh air, sun, cars and Americans.

Depends on the type of show and where I put it. A serious judged show you have to show the trunk like the rest of the car so I put the popup and lawn chairs in the back seat with the cooler, that's stuff that will be taken out as soon as you get parked. I almost always have my detail stuff in the tool bag in the trunk and anything display or points related like the fire extinguisher On show andshines I stuff it all in the trunk and Keep it closed till the show is over and I go home.... Full size spare wheel with a tire that is the same as the other 4, and a scissor jack & shortie lug wrench to fit under the tire. I don't care how much room in the trunk it takes up. When you are driving to the show, be prepared, even brand new tires hit nails the same as older ones do

Same here, as well as jumper cables, a canvas tool bag stuffed with the basics, and a portable air compressor. I daily drive my car more often than bringing it to a show, so the trunk is always loaded with the essentials. Everything is secured so the quarters don't get dinged when cornering hard or doing smoky sideways burnouts.

For shows, I toss a chair in the trunk and a photo binder documenting the work I've done (paint and body, new top and interior, engine build, front suspension, etc.).
