Looking for a good parts source that ships to Canada
I just purchased a 69 cutlass convertible and was wondering if there is like a reliable go to site for parts that is reliable source and most importantly ships up north to Canada!
for me ships up north to Canada.
I've had fairly good luck at The Parts Place and Year One. Fusick is supposed to be very good, but I have no experience with them. I don't hear such good things about Brothers but again, have never tried them (I believe they're now DBA OldsParts.com). And if you ever are tempted to order from a place called "Billions and Trillions" do yourself a favor and forget about it.
You'll find that these places aren't one-stop shopping -- different places are good for different things.
I think pretty much everybody ships to Canada. I've never had anybody refuse me, anyway.
Be cautious about using Inline Tube, they have a bad habit of shipping the wrong parts, which would really screw up your ability to return the items back across the border.
I use Fusick regularly without issue. Rock Auto is good for mechanical parts.
Be prepared for high shipping charges from them all. I have found Fusick to be great. I've had no problems with The Parts Place. In Line Tube sent me and charged me double on the last item I purchased, other than that they have been acceptable.
Welcome to Classic Olds and from someone just south of you (Bradford).
I've been dealing with Fusick since the late 80's and haven't had any issues.
For me personally Inline tube is hit and miss.
Brothers had limited parts for my cars, 98's,88's and starfire. Haven't looked for my 61 F-85.
Depending on the parts required there is a huge Olds cutlass following in the GTA and parts are not that hard to find.
Your car looks great, what parts are you looking for?
Steve
Thank you all for your suggestions, at the moment I really do not need any parts for it at all and hope to keep it that way, I was just being pro active that is all and wanted to know what is out there. I also own a 69 C10 and found a local Ontario shop that has everything for it. And from my experience dealing with Brothers for C10 parts was nothing but a nightmare and all I was buying a simple owners manual from them, so I can only imagine how they are when it comes to actual parts.
Check the Oldsmobile page on https://www.vintagepartsource.com you will find several other vintage Oldsmobile parts suppliers and I think a couple of them are in Canada.
