I saw that abortion earlier on ebay. Kept looking for the team of oxen that should go with those Conestoga wagon wheels. Damn I don't see how anyone could be so messed up between the ears they would think that looks good.

multi-tasker

So you get an Olds-based ,elevated, mobile stereo system....like they say..."there's no accounting for taste!" Car looks clean and solid,so some bidders may pick it up,flip the wheels etc. for cash and work with the rest....OR... ship it down to Jamaica and use it as your "pimpmobile" peddling girls and ganja to the reggae sounds of Bob Marley!!...Derek

Yeah, that looks pretty dumb. But at least he fixed up an older car and saved it from the crusher. Maybe a gearhead will get the Cutlass in a few years and make a good classic out of it.

Always wrong thinking folks about there must be a bunch of them. Seen a red neck four wheel drive Cutlass down if southern Florida one time it was 4 feet off the ground guy had ladders welded to it so he and his girl could get in.

I get a kick out of
YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1969 COMPLETELY RESTORED
and finished off with
DON'T FORGET TO CHECK UNDER THE HOOD ALL ORIGINAL WITH THE 350 ROCKET 66,000 MILES
Fully restored?? I don't think so. Something left as original is not restored. Restored means something completey different. This car is obviously targeted for someone who loves bling and is looking only for the superficial world of eye candy. Oh yeah, they would have to be deaf too. That's why the sound system.....

For 6100 bucks? You can't touch a fully restored 69 for that kind of money.

...and I agree with all of you, those wheels? I think they look hideous on that car.

Saved

At least the body and drivetrain look like they can be saved. I really don't know what the facination is with bigger and bigger wheels??? Once you get past 20" the cars just start looking stupid. Can you imagine what it would be like cornering at high speed , kind of like the problem jeep used to have with tipping over. We can only hope that someone who wants a car to "completely restore" will get the car. You could always fund the project partly by selling some of the junk he has on the car.

What foolishness!.
Do wheels too big for their cars like that remind anyone else of JJ Walker's smile?.

What is with jacking up cars? I always see '80's Caprice's and G-body cars with rims that are far to tall for the car.

I guess I just don't understand the culture?

After looking at that car, I understand what you're getting at, but feel like I should point out, in this case there's no culture involved. Culture would be found in things like yogurt, cheese and a dictionary. I don't think the word exists to describe what the car has been converted to.....

Dan, are those wheels going to bolt on your 46 and we will be looking for pictures. I am sure you bought it just for the wheels. Sure you did.

Pretty funny videos especially when the wheels and tires on a car are worth more than the car itself. Should invest the money in a motor not wheels and they would be turning in the 12's instead of the 14's. The other thing that use to get to me when I lived in LA were the guys with a $5,000 music system in a $2,000 car. The systems put out enough watts and dbs to kill someone sitting in the car if it was at full volume and could be heard a mile away.

Cool videos. My favorite is the buick

Nice run time huh? 14.4!!! Heartbeat thumpin power!!! My sisters old Datsun could keep up with that. Bet that a stock Chevy could have done better with 15" rims and plain jane rubber.

The car sold for$10,800,pretty cheap for the money they spent on it! Buy it and sell those ugly 28s on E-BAY to some other donk geek and recover about 1/3 of your money. Drop the car back on the ground where it's supposed to be! Change out the interior and you will have a nice car for less than restoring one yourself!
