New to me 1972 W30 X code

Greetings,

I'm the proud new owner of this 1972 442 W30, formerly owned by Bruce B in Minnesota who did a frame off restoration about 15 years ago. Although not matching numbers, it is an X code and has Ga heads, correct intake, WZ manifolds, etc. and only has 311 miles since its completion. I had a 1970 442 back in high school in 1978 and always wanted another one. I've attached some pics of the restoration and the engine stamp, it's a 1970 block, correct?

I can't tell if that's a 30M... VIN derivative or not in that photo, but yeah, if that's a "0" then it's a 70 block.

Thanks, Joe...when I blow that pic up it's definetly a 30M.

Lucky you ! That looks like the Holiday coupe that was listed on Hemmings that I've been lusting over for the last couple of weeks. Looks like it is gone now however there is also a flame orange W30 Sport coupe listed. Both are gorgeous cars.

Enjoy!
