Oldsmobile script font

Does anyone know what font was used for the Oldsmobile script? Also all the other words like Cutlass,, Supreme, Delta, Dynamic, Super, 88, 98, Brogham etc? Thanks all.

Are you talking about something like Times New Roman or Courier or something like that that you would see on a dropdown list in Microsoft Word? I don't think you'll find them there. Oldsmobile just made its own script font.

There were several versions of Cutlass alone over the years, as one example.

Ditto for Delta 88.

Yes, exactly like that, a drop down list to pick from. My wife is a quilt maker and does embroidery and she wants to make something for me and embroider it with the Cutlass script and Oldsmobile etc, but need the proper font to load in her machine. My fault. It is for a 1972 Cutlass Supreme..

Is there a way you can take a pic of the script and import it into the embroidery program?

^^This will be much easier to do and will look better than searching for a similar font.

I'd love to find the right fonts too. I've spent a bit of time searching but not a lot. Site like dafont.com have a large selection of free fonts, but the exact font might be a pay to use item.

Getting a clean digital version of the script is certainly achievable if the person knows how to use the applicable programs. Friend of mine wanted a modified Vista Cruiser decal using different letters but the same font which is where I ran into the challenge. He's still waiting.
