POWER TOUR

Just got back from the first leg of power tour with my Dad and brother. Good times, SWEEEEEEEET IRON. I got a few pics, but ran out of batteries, will post once they are charged up. Only saw a few cutlasses, and a 60 (I think) 88. Needles to say Oldsmobile was under represented, as well as Buick, but I had a blast. Watched one guy get out of hand doing a burnout in cambridge, and will be getting towed home. Sucks to be him. Any how did any one else go? or are you going. Share your pics, and your story.

I was riding in the Buick. My Dad finished her up when I was in high school. God time flies. I figured the Cad might be of interest to the land yacht club, but These are the only Oldsmobiles I shot before the batteries died. I saw maybe five or six more the entire day though so not a big loss...I guess I have more from the staging lot if anyone wants to see them. mostly Chubbies and some Fords and Buicks.

I remember a buttercup 67, but did not see the 66. We were about middle of the pack, and did not get much of a chance to sight see at the beginning, and Racine was a parking lot so we bailed after about a half hour sitting on one block. I don't know what all was in Racine.

And you are right... It was Chebby heaven. I never thought I'd stop seeing LT1's and LS6's in old school cars... My friend was jocking saying he must have missed the sale....LOL

I know I was wishing I was done with my cutlass. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Just a bunch of car guys and gearheads hangin' out.. With the economy in a total meltdown its going to be a long time before I get too far though. Maybe I'll pull the supra out of the barn and stuff that small block in it...I think I have most of the stuff I'd need to do it. I'm just not really into imports anymore since they suddenly became the cool thing to do.

All I have ready to tour would be my Focus (not cool, but economical LOL)......I'll just wait until the Olds is ready.

I actually saw some econoboxes and even a minivan in the lot. They will let you run with the pack in anything apparently...just don't expect to get your pic in the magazine.
