There is always a lot of discussion on the other Oldsmobile site regarding this issue. IMHO, I would contact Dick Miller, Hernando Mississippi, and have him build your motor. I'm not sure how far away that is for you. I'm also not sure that Joe Mondello is still available, he may be, you will have to hear from others to confirm this. I do know that I would not choose the west coast counterpart for much of anything other than an occasional part I couldn't obtain elsewhere. There are many talented Olds engine builders out there. Ask Mike Richards who I believe lives in Alabama and is a OCA expert on 66 and 67 442's who he would reccommend. A lot depends on what you are building your engine for, is it an all out race motor or is it an upgrade to a basic street application? Huge difference in what will be required.

Thanks,I'd call my engine ''middle of the road''.I want all the performance i can get, without expensive ''throw money at it ''approach.I plan on doing assembly myself. My engine was purchased disassembled, with some machine work done[bored .030]I need to get it to someone who can tell what's been done already, and who knows what ''tricks'' an OLDS needs. It's primarily a 1/8 car,1.67 60's/8'11/84 mph.I'd also like to keep it streetable.Engines a 455,bored 30,C heads[gonna, fill crossover, braze divider, home port]
engle cam,474/480 adj. 512/523,N crank, stock rods.Like it to pull to 52-5500.I'm not sure of the mods needed for this goal,it will see WOT every time i drive it.Thanks,BO
