Tire rim question

When did Olds get rid of tube tires? Ive got a 48 76 and was looking into radials instead of bias but doesnt the rim have to be specific for tubeless tires? The owners manual says 6.5 x16 but currently the car has 7.6 x15, does that mean both sizes will fit the rim? Thanks for any advise.

One of those is 16" diameter and the other is 15" diameter, which means a different rim is required. You can't put a 15" tire on a 16" rim, nor can you put a 16" tire on a 15" rim.
