Original G block where are you?

Is it a bad idea to post the vin that would have been on my original block here in order to attempt to find it?
Any reason not to?

The reason I ask is I'm not sure why some cover up there license plate when posting photos, These cars are on the road with plates showing...

Anyways I'm looking for my original g block 400. fingers crossed.

EDIT- Looking for 38M381359 block

There is currently a rash of cars being stolen in Ohio for built engine parts. They are being stolen from their home garages. The Ohio DMV is compromised, or people are getting their info elsewhere. Hanging a theme plate on magnets over the real plate while at a show seems like a good idea just to keep the number of pictures out there down.

So how does putting your thumb in front of your cell phone camera lens stop this, and why does anyone even need the DMV to steal these parts. If a thief sees a car at a show, it's far easier to just follow the owner home. Sorry, this is a manufactured worry, not a real one.

Well, I mean I also use door locks, drive home and watch for tails, and my other hobby is shooting long distances, so, that's got it covered, too.

They're not covering the license plate. They're showing that the towel or whatever is hanging there actually comes with the car if you buy it, and they have to hang it somewhere.
