What happened to www.442.com ? I have not been on that site for a while, and noticed today that it appears to be down. Just wondering what the story is and if any of its content was archived.

Ask Brothers Automotive, who owns the site.

From their parts reputation, it sounds like they're consistent with their website.

www.442.com now resolves to a Chinese language cell phone company (I think):

http://www.442daohang.com:11442/

That's "not BAP"...

In that case, I'll never try to open that link. I don't trust "those" sites.
I always heard that Brother's cherry picked the parts. Snagging up anything rare/cheaply priced. I liked the site back in the day.

Thanks for the update...I think. Darn shame. I sure liked their gallery of photos. Their classifieds were once a busy place.

One order from brothers was one order too many for my taste. Good riddance.

Ditto. They treated me with no respect. I'm actually shocked to see the BBB has them listed with an A+ customer rating.

I used to live within a mile or so of their facility in Kansas. It was one unit in a multi unit commercial building. Their entire operation was about 20 feet wide and maybe 35 feet deep. They also had a small (4 or so unit) storage garage behind the shop. The always an Oldsmobile or two, usually A body convertibles, parked out in back. I attempted to visit them multiple times but NEVER found anyone there. You could not even see any inventory through the windows. I did get them on the phone a time or two to try and make an appointment but they were always unavailable when I was. I am pretty convinced that they stocked almost nothing but rather placed orders with other suppliers to fill the orders they got.
