Neutral safety switch

Neutral safety switch

iam replacing the transmission in my 68 from a jet away to a 400th.
it is automatic floor shift , is the neutral safety switch the same for both transmission or do i need one for a400th

The NSS and kickdown switch are both the same for TH400 and Jetaway. Naturally you will need to move the crossmember, get a correct TH400 driveshaft and front yoke, and change the front and intermediate e-brake cables due to the crossmember move.

Dam old refrigerator eyes...dauh. Consol sw will/may need adjusting. The shift plate will need to be modified in order to get all the way down into 1st gear. The detent will need to be replaced with a 3 speed or the 2 speed can be modified with a file or rotory rasp to create the 1st gear detent.
