Representing the brand at a local car show

Both of us one a Trophy. We were the only 2 Oldsmobiles in a sea of very nice cars.

Congratulations. I hope you both enjoyed the show and being there. Being fewer in number doesn't mean you were noticed less.

We had a lot of traffic around our cars. I can tell the ones that have no clue what mine is because they walk to the back looking for a name.

Congrats Eric. What town was that in because it doesn't look like Granbury? Is the other car Keith Sauls?

Looking good Eric... Congrats on the trophy and representing the Oldsmobile brand... Sometimes all it takes is just one (in this case two) to standup and be noticed...

My car took some sort of trophy yesterday (ladies choice) and I was the only Oldsmobile at the show. That is a pretty common in my neck of the woods, not many Oldsmobile's at shows. I did have two different people comment that they liked my Biscayne though, strange Tedd

Usually it's sometimes called a BelAir by mistake but a Biscayne? And two people at different times... Strange. Were there even ant Biscayne's made in the fifties?...Tedd

I think after people view a few of the same thing, they walk faster past "more of the same thing in a different color" and stop to look over "something different".
Folks are drawn to things like Corvair, Crosley, Packard, Desoto, Henry J's, and other things they see don't see every day.
This Fiesta wagon caught my eye last summer.

Tedd:

I have never had mine called a Biscayne. Obviously you had at least two people who know nothing about cars. I believe the Biscayne started in 1958 and since it was a low end Chevrolet, there were no convertibles. Where is a picture with you and all the ladies?

Yes, first year for the Biscayne was 1958. Available only as a 2- or 4-door sedan.

The first guy saw his buddy and said "hey you gotta check out that nice biscayne over there, his buddy walked over and biscayned you for a sound time

Hey, in the past I had a kid walk up and ask me what year Mustang I had, so anything is possible. I always get a kick out of how many people say they had one just like it, only different.

Congratulations to all the winners yesterday! I get to include myself. My 67 CS won an outstanding in class at the VA car show in Bonham, TX, though my car is far from a show quality car. Earlier in the day I had said I had a chance to win a prize if they had a class for convertibles with dog platforms in them.

Congrats on the trophies guys. I had my '71 Supreme that I had a few years ago called a "Chevrolet Cutlass", by an early 20 something trying to impress his girlfriend.

I went through Yorkville, an upscale area in T.O. with a bunch of restaurants with outdoor patios, in my '57 98, and one guy yells out "nice Impala". Also Joannie Mitchel sang about a '57 Biscayne, which somewhere in Chebby land there is a reference to a Biscayne model for '57, but nothing on the car itself..
