Crager SS rims

There is a guy nearby that is selling a set of Crager ss rims that are 15" x 12 wide with 4 1/2 back space with 275 60 15 tires
He has the 10" rims with 3.75 backspace for the fronts
Will these fit my 69 442 without rubbing? All stock suspension
He wants $1000.00 for all 4. BFG Tires have less that 1000 miles on them.
Is this a fair price?

Thanks
Jerry

All 4 are going to stick way out. The rears may work without rubbing but the fronts will probably rub when turning.

TEST FIT THEM FIRST. But if the chrome is good, then yes it's a good deal!

^^^This.

Your car wants wheels with near zero OFFSET. For a 12" wide wheel, that would be about 6.5" backspacing. For a 10" wide wheel, that would be about 5.5" backspacing. These wheels aren't even close.

If you buy them, invest in a pair of skyjacker shocks and don't overload the car.

You can take my word. I have had cragers rims on my cars since 1977. You don't ever want used cragers and especially that size on the fronts. Buy the crager's new and get the correct size tires for the car.. As far as price, yes you will pay more than that for new ones, so what, if taken care of they will last a life time and the correct size will look so much better..You can catch Summit sales coupons all the time. I'll add the biggest problem with cragers is people not taking care of them.

100% correct. These have been on my Chevelle for 22 years, they don't have a spot of rust or any peeling. You have to take care of them. Get the correct size, you will be much happier.

JMO but those widths with those offsets will look ridiculous

Also possible the guy has the sizes wrong. 15x12 is way less common than 15x10

Possible he has 15x10 & 15x8

After reading all your comments, I have decided to pass on the wheels mentioned.
Maybe I can find new wheels and tires that do not require a second mortgage on my house.
Thanks to all, your comments are appreciated

I think there is a disconnect between what people are asking for used rims these days & what you can buy them new for. I think there are so many resources to buy online for a good price why buy used to save a few hundred bucks? If that is the look you want you can go through EBay & Tirebuyer. Get these rims with Coopers for $860 plus install. Maybe reach out to the EBay seller and see if you can get 15x8's for the back for a little more

I bought the 610C one piece chrome from this Ebay seller: tirecloseouts
He gives an extra 5% off when buying 4 and I got a set of 17" for just over $400 delivered.
