What's with the negatives. It was done because it could be done but wasn't easy. It would turn heads at any custom car show.
Is it pretty? - Nope.
Is it practical? - Nope.
Will it be a headache to keep running, register, attract derision and respect wherever it goes?, Yep.

Is it worth $25000?. maybe to someone. If not it won't sell. One mans art is another mans junk.

One thing it definitely is, a unique creation.

Roger.

Like the 85 Seville trunk lid

I do like the 85 Seville trunk lid. Being a 1985 Seville owner besides a 1987 Cutlass owner. I just like the smooth lazy ride sometimes. The Avalon is my girls car.

All someone has to do is hit it in the back and it's all over.

How would you know if the strips are in the correct place? I have been trying to call all day and it is always busy. Phone is probably off the hood because he sold the car to the first caller.

I read the ad. It says "no main body" but also "no custom parts" but then it does not list what the tub is. I couldn't see what it is all the body parts are actually bolted to.

News flash: probably 90% of the Oldsmobiles owned by members here have the gas tank in the same place. Just sayin...

So.... is it 1 of 1, or 1 of 28?

If he has titles and history for all 28 vehicles, is that provenance? Trim plate may be hard to identify, I dunno...

So were the Mustangs but that never seemed to make it out there to "G-pop". More of them went up due to rear impacts than Pinto's. Why do you think that was never mentioned, possibly because it was there best seller?

The Pinto became notorious because of the class action lawsuit. Thank the lawyers. Ford certainly didn't pick this.

FYI, Ford sold about three times as many Pintos during the mid-70s than they did Mustang IIs. Try again with the conspiracy theories.

Joe I thanks for clearing that up. PS I wasn't talking about the Mustang II I was talking about the ones they made 64-1/2 and up, they would burst into flames just as quick with the imitation bumper on the rear.

pinto was a hatch back, when it got whacked in the rear there is nothing separating the trunk area from the cabin, unlike the mustang .
The way the pinto folded the tank went above the rear end as it got pushed forward.. and held in with straps, the mustang was bolted in, and wasn't much holding it in place.
