Were the tri carb cars equiped with the foam or paper filter elements?

Olds only came with the foam filters. My Pontiac source says the foams were optional on Pontiacs.

What filters went in the 66 OAI air cleaner? Three little guys or a racetrack loop style that went around all three?

They used the same foam filters and wire screens as the tri carb cars. The numbered factory OAI cleaners had the wire screens crushed a little so the top and bottom of the cleaner could be screwed together. The second design cleaners were made taller so the screens didn't need to be crushed.
