71 sports coupe questions

I have a 71 Oldsmobile Cutlass I bought for a 1000$ when I was 15, I ran the VIN and it came back as a sport coupe, but in a newbie thread I posted awhile back, someone said it was not a sports coupe and that it was a holiday coupe..the VIN visible through windshield is unlegible and this concerns me. Because then I'm relying on the title. I really wanna begin building the car as a sports coupe..but I don't even know what options the sport coupe had, vs the holiday coupe..it has the original white rear bench seat, column shift, an ugly purple bench seat and no carpet..442 emblems but that doesn't mean much and the grill is missing from the car, blue with vinyl top, front disc brakes.. I really need help, thanks!

post pictures of the Data Tag on the drivers side cowl and share the VIN #.
this will tell us a lot of info about your car.

Holiday coupe is a sedan, frame around windows, yours is a hardtop, with the windows down nothing blocks openings.

In Oldsmobile language you have a Holiday Coupe. (No center post or "B" pillar between the door and quarter windows)
This thread will explain https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...-hard-top.html

No, a SPORT COUPE has the post, the HOLIDAY COUPE is a hardtop.

Sport Coupe (note the metal frame around the door window):

Holiday Coupe (note there is no metal frame around the door window):

To the OP: I would STRONGLY urge you to post photos of the VIN and the cowl tag under the hood. You claim in your other thread that the VIN is hard to read, so maybe someone read it wrong. If the VIN says this is a sport coupe, the VIN tag has been changed and the car has likely been stolen at one time. This is what I was trying to tell you a year ago when you first posted on this site.
