Header help

Hello all,
I have a 1966 F85, with a 455, stock exhaust manifolds. I'd like to install headers, but can't seem to find any help towards my dilemma. I'd rather not have to bend, abuse, or alter the headers, for the sake of them to "fit". What I mean is: I've seen 66's and 67's with a 455...but the headers have been beat with a hammer or something....to Mae them "fit". Any help would be immensely appreciated!

I have ARH 1 7/8 Headers on a 71 big block with a manual trans and hydraulic clutch, my brake distribution block has been relocated. My experience did not go perfectly smooth, but with patience I rectified the problem along with ARH. There was interference problems with the Headers, after trying to fix the problem I then discussed it with ARH. They sent me a new set, the second set fit very good no mods. at all. I am happy with the fit, and the ground clearance is very good, almost unnoticeable. You will need a power master starter 9510 for clearance. Do a forum search there’s a few posts on here, I have one on this subject. I did try a set of Doug’s Headers first, and they wouldn’t fit at all, so I sent them back. The one down side is the price I think they may be around 1400 now.

Ive had 2 sets of Hookers used on 2 Olds Cars, an 1-3/4" on a 68 442, and a 1-3/4 & 1-7/8 on a 70 SX. No modifications needed on either car. Hookers been making this like of Headers for the Olds since the late 60's, and they dont requre a mini starter.

Pt#3902 fit your car, are 280.95, instock ready to ship. These are a painter header, you can order them with ceramic coatings for extra.
