1970 W-30 fender wells / liners value ?

1970 W-30 fender wells / liners value?

Opinions?

What is the value on a nice pair with good color, mostly red, but still faded some, no major damage or repairs or excess holes? A bolt hole or two broken, but otherwise good.

Thanks in advance.

That is a hard one. Last two sets I sold was $2000. One set had slight fading but minimal. The other set had GREAT color but had a couple holes repaired in a visible area. I was literally offered $5000 for the set in the W-30 I sold. Was hard not to pull them out but they were the best set I have ever seen and were born in that car. It is not normal to get $2000 out of a set but these sets were ready to go into a car. I have one more set that needs finished that I will eventually sell. I know of one other guy that sold a set for $2000. I sold them for the guy so I got to see them. They were a fairly nice set but not perfect.

The bolt holes broken out are not the end of the world, they can be fixed and nobody can see the repair with where they are.

lets see black ones got for maybe $200 for a really nice pair - I'll give you $210 for the red :-)

Ctls442 here in the Chicago area had a set for sale earlier this year, he would be able to tell you what he got for them if he sold them, can"t remember what he was asking. The repos are upwards of $400 a pair now. The repos used to be horrible, I hear they are much closer to the originals now.

Edit: Wow, just saw Eric's post - holy cow doesn't surprise me for a mint set but still that's good coin. I would have guessed around $1,000 - $1,200 a pair.

My guess is that this would be closer if not ready to bolt into a car.

After reading this, I need to see the condition of a set I put away 35 years ago. Came out of a low mileage car.

The pair I recently sold had been repaired in two or three areas, and the color consistency was only fair due to the red in the repair areas being noticeably different than the red in the original areas. The repair areas looked repaired. On the plus side, I don't remember any broken holes.

Hopefully they were stored in the dark or covered up. Light has a way of messing them up and the sun can start fading them within a couple days to a week.

They are actually in boxes up in the rafters with a NOS Supreme qtr. panel. I can get them down and take pictures if anyone is interested?
