1988 olds cutlass tranny swap

Hey everyone i have a question. I own a 1988 olds cutlass surpreme, RWD, rebuilt 307. I would like to know if anyone has ever swapped out the automatic transmission for a manual one, all while keeping the 307.. if so, is there a 4 speed tranny that will directly bolt up to an olds 307, and what would be the best tranny for power.. thank you

There is a good chance the crank is not drilled for a manual pilot bushing. The late 70's Cutlass did come with the Olds 260T-50 5 SPD trans. They are a weak and odd pattern trans, good luck finding one. It would probably survive behind your swirl port 307. I am also pretty sure you need the G body specific clutch fork and a BOP bell housing.
