1970 Cutlass Supreme SX build sheet

Where can I locate a 1970 Cutlass SX 455 Convertible ( Lansing, MI) build sheet for my car. I've looked everywhere in the car and nothing? Any ideas. Anybody own one?

This car was built in Dec 1969 (3 Rd week in December). Any ideas appreciated.

Most likely won't find it, I don't know anyone that has found a 70 build sheet from a Lansing built car. My SX came with two broadcast cards an A card and a B card

Welcome. I moved your question to it's own thread, since it was pretty much unrelated to the thread you attached it to.

The answer is, you can't. Unlike Pontiac, there are no archives of Oldsmobile build sheets. If you don't find one in the car (and it is extremely rare to find one in a Lansing-built car), then you are out of luck. Sorry.

I've owned about two dozen Olds A-body cars, and so far I've only found two build sheets. One was a Framingham-built car, the other a Fremont car. In both cases the build sheet was on top of the gas tank.

Joe
Is this a build sheet or a broad cast card? This is from my 72 Cutlass Supreme and it was under the drivers seat.
I have often wondered what is the difference between the two?
Sorry if this is a hijack but is of the same subject.

AJ, that is a build sheet. Of course, it's a Fremont car, not a Lansing car. The build sheet was used by the Olds factory and contains all the RPOs needed to build the car. The broadcast card was a smaller piece printed on card stock (hence the term) and was used by Fisher Body. As a result, it only contains the RPOs that affected Fisher Body.

Here's an example of a broadcast card. Note that it has the Fisher Body serial number from the cowl tag and not the VIN, since the VIN would not have been assigned at this time.

Thank you Joe

When I found this my wife could not understand my excitement on how valuable it was to our restoration. I took great care in getting it flat and making copies, I was surprised as to how good it is for how old. I feel lucky
