I agree , the big thing in our area is a squat . You take a truck and lower the rear like there is a load . I wonder if our parents thought the same of the things we did with our cars or trucks when we were younger . I will see if my son has a photo I can post to show

We did that back in the 70's. Mount bodies on truck frames.

Remember it well, even up here in the northeast...

At least they used a less than desirable body... to me at least.

In the 1950s, the style was the "tail dragger" look. Same thing.

I'm surprised to see a Cutlass "donked" like that. Usually it's the 77-85 B/C bodies.

Ok, now I understand what I saw this week down here in Apex, North Carolina while visiting our daughter and her family. Saw this truck with the nose canted in the air and the rear end dragging. Felt sorry for the driver with his suspension issues. Wasted my sympathy, obviously. Like Joe P. said, it's tail dragger redux.
Somewhere in the 50's it also went the other direction with the nose dropped and the reared jacked up. Don't remember which style came first.

You beat me to it. My response was that's what you need when you live in the flood zone.

Well it's his car and he can do as he likes with it.
But to quote a Spokesman from Rolls Royce when one of the Beatles painted his Silver Cloud in a psychedelic scheme; "It is Mr Lennons car and he may paint it as he sees fit, but we feel this is most unfortunate".

Roger.
