Crank: Trash It or Worth It To Somebody

I didn't use this crank because my machinist thought by the time I spent the time to machine it, I might as well buy a new Eagle crank. That's what I ended up doing. Now I'm cleaning out the garage and if this isn't worth it, I'm inclined to let it go.

Here are some pictures. Let me know, if not worth the effort, may sell for scrap. I don't see any marking indicating it's been machined before.

Don't throw it out

looks salvageable and usable for someone going original.

Crank

I had to do a double take on your pic...it looked oddly familiar. Check this out

Is that a part number or serial number? I guess I don't get what you mean by "looking familiar".

the casting numbers are in a poor location, when your crank was originally machined they hit the last digit. Same on mine

I saw your pic & was wondering when you stopped over & took a pic of my crank. It was merely intriguing to me.

Brett

I don't see the factory undercuts at the edges of the journals, meaning it has probably been ground before, at least .010" undersize.
