Question Idle is low while in drive, advice sought

Any advice on what I could adjust? I've ran the idle screw where it is at about 1150 rpm in park, but when I put it in drive it nearly kills the car. Really low, like enough to make the dummy lights come on.

1969 442, th400, 455ci, edelbrock performer intake and edelbrock 750 (1407 with the electric choke add-on).

Thanks in advance!

Where is the initial timing set and what distributor are you running?

That's a great question about the timing and distributor. Looking at the receipts from the previous owner, it's an Autoline D243. Pic at amazon: http://a.co/fdgy7nQ

I can buy/borrow a timing light, but I have a note from a shop saying the timing mark on the harmonic balancer isn't right. So I guess I'll start with finding TDC and work from there.

Double check the mechanics note about the mark, make sure the harmonic balancer hasn't spun. If it has you'll need to replace it and go from there.
