Have you looked at the stock Toro wheels? These aren't even close as far as offset. Are they even the right bolt pattern? You should read this thread about the same subject.

This '69 Toronado owner had the factory rims widened to seven inches.

Just from experience with my 70 Toronado I know it would take a 225/60/15 easily. It would probably look small. But as stated those rims aren't even close as far as the offset needed.
