What's the oldest car you guys daily drive /daily driven? My first and only car I currently drive is a 85 Delta 88. Passed down from my grand dad, to my brother, but was then given to me! I think it would be the coolest thing if it ended up being the only car I ever have haha!

What amazes me is that my very first car that I got in high school was a 1968 Vista that was only six years old at the time!
Actually, my wife has two daily drivers, both 1985 D88s, a nice one and a beater, depending on where she's going and if she's taking the dogs with her or not. My driver is a 1999 Chevy truck, but it has 264,000 miles on it.

Currently I DD a 1997 BMW and a 2001 BMW, so 19 and 15 years right now, I guess.
When I was in my early 20s I DD'd a 1961 Mercedes, which at the time would have made it about 22 years old.
In the 1990s, I DD'd a couple of '68 full-sizes, which were about 25 years old. I think that's the oldest I've driven so far.

One of my dream cars is a 1985 Mercedes 300D. I hope to own a 85 Mercedes 300D, a 1990 Volvo 240, and my car a 1985 Delta 88 (;
My first car was a '64 Chevy Impala 409/400 with a 4-speed in 1977. It was my only vehicle at the time. My first Olds was a 1967 Delta 88 4-door hardtop ("Moby Olds") I used as a DD in 1979. My first A-Body Olds was a '64 Cutlass hardtop that I purchased as a daily driver in 1983. My first 4-4-2 was a '68 that I bought in 1986 which saw some duty as a DD. I drove a '63 Chevy Bel Air as a DD in the late '80s. I drove an '81 Pontiac Lemans Safari wagon as a DD in 2006-7(great vehicle for a dog transporter). I am currently piling miles on a '97 Jeep Cherokee.
Does anyone detect a pattern here?

Well, not that exact car. It'd take me half a day to find a photo of that car now.
But it was the same color, less shiny, with a certain amount of rust replaced by Bondo, and the headlight buckets attached and aimed with wads of Gorilla Hair.
It was the only car I had where you could actually see the road passing under your feet as you drove.
I loved that car, but when the master cylinder broke away from the frame, it was time to sell it.
In spite of all the rust, the doors all still closed with the Mercedes THUNK.

I drive my 78 Delta (sig. pic) daily April through November.
I drive my raggedy 77 Grand Prix (Olds powered) December through March. But it also gets used to cart the Two Terrors to baseball and football practices and games and anywhere our Golden Retriever needs to go year round.

My DD is a 2000 Ford F250, 4X4, Quad Cab with a V10 that get 11.6 MPG. I only drive it to the train station during the week which is less than 5 miles round trip so the mileage doesn't matter. It only has 97,000 miles on it. For a number of years back in the 90's, my DD was my 72 Cutlass convertible.

One is a cruiser, 67 Land Cruiser that is. It's a rig I leave chained up a lot and is used in times of severe snow and retrieving fire wood from the lower part of my property. It's extremely steep down there. The other is a 93 full size Bronco that is a hunting rig that doesn't get much use most of the year..... Tedd
In 1976 i was 22. I bought my 1965 Corvette Coupe for 3300. bucks, I was my daily driver for 9 years. Had many other cars since then, the Vette dosent get driven enough now, but i do drive it sometime. My DD is an 03 GMC Denali quadrasteer, its very close to turning over to 200,000 mi.
During the summer I drive a 70 Vista about half the time. it actually drives better than my 02 Impala w/275000 miles. It is completely dependable and I use it as a truck with a utility trailer. About 14 yrs ago I drove a 65 Dodge Coronet slant 6 as a dd in the summer.
I forgot about the '67 Valiant 170 4-door my wife and I DD'd from 2000 to 2002.
Had about 60,000 miles on it, got rear-ended while parked, sold it to a buddy because it was bent pretty badly.
At 35 years, that'd be the oldest I've driven daily.

I drove my Monte Carlo in college. 72 in 02 and 03, so 30 years old. Fun car to daily drive, I miss its torque when I'm not driving it. My old man still drives his 73 Club Wagon (that's an Econoline with a lot of windows) as a second car.

The first car I owned and drove, for my last year in high school ('77) was a '63 Plymouth Valiant convertible. It was a "grandma" car compared to my friends Camaros and Mustangs, but it was a convertible so I didn't mind. It had a 225 slant six and three in a tree, was a lot of fun!
true, not that old. We did have a 62 Ford Falcon in the mid eighties though, so over twenty on that one. Now that was a grandma car, my wife drove the kids to school in it for a few years. Seat belts were an option then, and it didn't have reverse lights. I think it did have wing windows, and manual vents, which I miss.
The first car I owned was a 1976 Olds cutlass supreme with a 260 engine. This was back in 1983 drove it for about 5 years while I apprenticed as a Tool & Die Maker. My dad would not let me buy another car until 1987. Then I bought a 1986 Olds cutlass supreme 305 with T-roof. Then the list goes on .
My first car was a 67 Cutlass. Got it from my aunt in 75, it was hit more times than Joe Louis. She hit anything that got in her way with it. My Cutlass slid into a curb on the ice with my buddy (who was painting the car) behind the wheel and bent lower control arm and frame. My dad decided it was too much work to fix and sold it. In addition he tried to replace it with a 4 door AMC Rebel, which I detested, I don't think they loved me much back then. So I bought my own cars after that and let me little brother have the car. No self respecting teen in my group would have been caught dead in a 4 door. So I bought a 64 Belair, 2 door post. Back in 70's, $3-500 got you an 8-10 year old car that needed work.
