Need Advice on Lowering My '64 98

I would like to lower the front end of my '64 Ninety Eight by about three or four inches. I don't like they way the car sits mainly because of the 3" to 4" gap between the bottom of the fender and the top of the tire. I don't want to cut the existing (original) springs. When ordering lowering springs how can I be sure to get springs that lower the car just the right distance? I know they sell 1", 2", etc lowering springs, but how can I be sure that they will lower the car to where I want it? My car is over fifty years old and I suppose that there is already some sag in the springs, so when they advertise a 2" lowering spring I'm sure that doesn't take into account existing sag in the original springs. Any advice is welcomed, although hydraulics is out of the question.
Thanks,
Bill R.

Maybe some body before you put different springs in the car for some reason. May be wrong springs.
Also go from a 14 inch tire to a 15 inch tire may help some.
I don't believe you are going to find springs specific to your car. You will have to take measurements and figure specs to look at a coil spring catalog and make a decision from there.
Like I said, maybe wrong springs are in from somebody else. So nothing to lose but get figures and spec's of those springs so you have a reference and just cut those a couple of coils and see how it is from there.
