Z manifold heat shields
Hi All
I'm needing a couple more heat shields for the 1969-72 455 Z manifolds. I have one factory one that's solid but kinda rusty. I found one on ebay for $69 with free shipping so I decided to give it a try. It looks very much like the factory one. I'm attaching pictures so others can see what this looks like side by side. The ebay auction is:

I am seriously thinking about getting one. I had my original replated but it is zinc and not gray phosphate. I don't want to send it back in to be replated but didn't want reproduction. I may just say heck with it and go repop.

That's why I posted this. To give people a chance to see this particular repop next to a factory one. I think this is very close to factory in fit. I don't know about what the correct finish should be. But the ebay auction is cheaper than any of the repop sites I've checked.

Did use a re-pop on my 455 w and z manifolds, but the alignment to air tube was off, the re-pop seems to have a different angle, works, but the tube does not seat flush all the way around.
