Not worth it. Olds arent money makers yet. Chevys and Pontiacs bring big bucks, mopars bring awesome money. Olds? Nah. I love olds because theyre affordable to get the good stuff still. A number matching W30 442 with the true aluminum rear axle option (not just the cover) went for $40k at Barret Jackson a week or two ago. People just dont understand that cutlasses/442s just dont bring Chevelle or GtO prices. I see it a lot on Craigslist too

You're kidding,right? Didn't Thornton just sell a W 30 rag for $128 K @ BJ Palm Beach? Mopars,yeah right,the million dollar hemis bring $200K or less. A 66 442 3X2 car brought $110K @ the Scottsdale BJ this year. I'm glad you're not appraising my car.

And it doesn't even have an aluminum engine.

I'd disagree a bit. The cars I have done with a bent tongue has been because the nose of the hood has been hit. It is a bit tougher to straighten an already fixed hood when the top is fixed to the liner under it. If the hood lines up well with the fenders and does not droop on both sides it usually is the tongues fault and the surface it bolts to. it takes some doing but it can be done. (of course this is my opinion based on experience)

Beautiful car. I'd be afraid to drive it at that price, and that would be a shame because I'm sure it is a blast to drop the hammer in that bad boy.

Yeah it's a driver too. He drove it to a BOP show a couple of years ago across Atlanta. No it didn't sell on eBay,there's a half page ad coming out in the Dupont Registry soon. I saw the car in person Saturday and it looks great. Next question please.

I think I saw the motor at Seven Springs Nationals a few years back but it had weber carbs. Mondello was there and said the sleeves were bad about coming out of those motors. I think the motor was for sale there and I saw a guy trying to buy the motor. Maybe the same guy that has the car.

Just hope it has steel sleeves, [probably] and not that Vega silicone/aluminium blunder!
What did that ZL-1 all aluminium Chevy re-pop go for a few years ago??

No,this is not the motor you saw. I have known the where abouts of the motor in the car for sale for over 25 years.

It is a nice car. I hope whoever ends up with it enjoys it! I know a couple that buy much more expensive cars, take them to the track and have an absolute blast with them! (they are in their 70's by the way) The daily drivers are Maserati Coupe and a really nice little Ferrari.
Mine is gonna be a fun cruiser when it is redone... I loved driving it, and looking forward to doing it a LOT more! Road Trips!
