wipers?

got a 68 cutlass changed wiper motor now nothing should this be self grounding?

Like the 72 motor, I think yours will also ground with a strap under one of the motor mounting screws...

Yes, if you didn't connect the grounding strap, the motor may not ground through the three rubber-isolated feet.
