Winter storage concerns

My son bought a 1965 Chevelle- I tried to sway him from the Dark Side to no avail . Anyway, we are going to be working on it this winter. Lacking in garage space as I am, I am considering storing my Cutlass outside under one of those Menard's Pole / canvas "garages". The chassis is completely done, painted and pretty as in every nut and bolt is new. IF I erect the garage over earth ( as opposed to slab or asphalt) how best can I keep the moisture away from the car? park it on top of ??????, wrap the car???? Am I dooming myself to flash rust and corrosion? Any tips? product suggestions? first hand experience?
Thanks!

I found someone in my area to completely bag/ shrink wrap my olds for $200. Dehumid packs, moth ***** and dryer sheets will be everywhere and poosibly a zipper door. I hope it works. He will be shrink wrapping it over my car cover. A restorer down the street wraps his cars and keeps them in his driveway for the harsh New England winters.

I would seriously look into a storage unit or something else. My buddy bought one of those for his boat and it didn't last through the winter.

I too would look for an indoor storage spot. Unheated space is pretty inexpensive (unless you are in NYC).

Maybe try one of these?

I'd be leery of the shrink wrap idea as it will not seal the car and it will actually trap moisture in there.

Agreed, many boats here in Minn get shrink wrapped and they strongly recommended against it for a vehicle. They say it actually does seal the car, too well, trapping any existent moisture.
