Wide Ovals for car show.

I put some Wide Ovals on my W30 for a recent show.

I have taken them off again for better handling, although I much prefer the look of the Wide Ovals.

As much as I like how my car rides/handles with radials, I would put Bias Ply tires on in a second because you just can't get that killer look in a radial. Sadly nobody reproduces Uniroyal Tiger Paw G70-14 and I have my original spare so I don't want to mix.

Beautiful car. I definitely like the look of the wide ovals too. Too bad someone does not make that sidewall with a newer radial design. Then we could have the best of both worlds.

I dont know about the wide ovals but the car is beautiful. I dig the dog dish hub caps.

I would like to leave the Wide Ovals on the car, but I have had them since the early 90s and they have gone a bit hard.
Even though they are in very good condition, they are not the best to drive on.

I would like to get some new ones, but they are very expensive to get them all the way down here.

Your car looks absolutely gorgeous!

I know what you mean about the different handling. The bias ply tires encourage that "disconnected feeling." Maybe sort of like a swamp boat? However, they do look outstanding.

I put mine on a couple of years ago, and I love the look- but not the ride.

Cheers Mate!

Now that's a first class appearance, in my opinion! I agree with you on the ride, but the look can't be beat!

Very nice looking! If they begin to make wide ovals in a radial design, i will jump on 'em!

Very nice car. If those tires are from the 90's I would not drive on them. They could blow at any time and then that car may not look so nice, and worse, you may not look so nice. Do as you're doing now, using them just for car shows. Get some SSI's or SSII's with RWL (raised white letter)radials for cruising and pleasure driving and stay safe by only going with THESE wide ovals for show. JMO. I wish they made "Uniroyal Steel Belted Radial"s.
