Why don't people fill out the statistics page?

I'm curious why people don't spend 3 minutes and fill out the statistics page. I see all kinds of questions asked here that a lot of time the answer they are looking for depends on where they live. I also find quite often I can't even figure out what the heck kind of car they have.
Please fill out the page it will help everyone involved.

I complete these forms on a "need to know basis."

While it's true that the NSA knows how much water was needed when I flushed this morning, for the average internet nutjob or agressive lawyer, it takes some work to find out meaningful information about people, and I have no intention of making either of their jobs any easier.

The basic information, as you suggested above, is in my profile, but everything else that the software asks about, like my full name and date of birth, is not going to be posted.

But I do agree: What car you have and what part of the world you live in are two pieces of information that are very useful to your fellow members.

x2. There's only two levels of paranoia ... rampant, and insufficient.

While the mods here are decent folks, as are the people themselves, I've been on forums where any information you give is just to be used against you or to identify you. If you need an account on a forum somewhere, and some mod has a grudge, it's best to be anonymous as possible so you can make a new account later.

On the other hand, I don't mind telling people things, like I live in Evansville; I just don't list it.
