Who makes a good plastic window restorer?

My rear plastic window is showing a line of scratches where it folds in the down position. I use to have a product that would polish out those scratches but I have ether used it up and thrown it out or lost it somewhere in my garage(probable). Does anyone have a product or system that works well?.... Tedd

We use micro mesh kits to restore scratches from plastic helicopter canopies and aircraft windshields. I've used it also to restore auto parts as well as any other plastic pieces you'd like to clear up. It is time consuming,....get a nice beverage, put on music or your favorite program and get after it. Results are usually very good.

I've used toothpaste on gauge lenses before with a little water/spit to keep things lubed. Not sure how bad your scratches are but worth a try as you probably have some in your house.

Thanks for the reply/ ideas guys. I was looking through my cleaning supplies today and found a new box of plastic headlight polish made for yellowed dull headlight lenses, I wonder if that would work on plastic windows? Has anyone used that for my purpose?......Tedd

I wondered about that myself Tedd. I would be very cautious since the headlights are hard plastic and the rear window is soft. I am very interested in this thread. My back window is not scratched yet but it is a matter of time regardless how careful I am. I clean it as little as possible.

I might give it a try but on my Land Cruiser first, it needs a new top and can't be screwed up because it's a total mess already. I'll let you know how this turns out.... Tedd

Check the Ecklers site. The Corvette dudes use something good.
