Who is/was looking for '68-'69 red interior pieces?

Will be bringing home a '69 soon with red bucket interior. Pretty ratty, but might be some usable red stuff in it. I forget who has in their signature something like "looking for red gut stuff"? Indy 68 maybe?

John,
You are correct. I got lucky & was the first one there with cash. Hopefully there will be many more for both of us.
Brett,
Thanks for the info!! See you in June if not sooner.

Not to butt it, but 68 and 69 red interiors are different colors. 68 is noticeably darker than 69. Makes it that much tougher to come up with the pieces unfortunately...

I use to have a couple of red interior 68s. Bought the second one primarily to help out the interior of the first one.

Yes they are..
Ref pics:
'68 on left.....'69 on right

However !
Years ago I saw a '69 442 at a car show. A white Holiday with what I'd swear was the dark red ('garnet'). I remember being puzzled at the time because I knew of the difference. Car looked like a nice unmolested but slightly worn original. Interior swap ? Weird early build w/ leftover '68 'garnet' ? I have no idea...

So...since '68 garnet is so rare, I'll check out a '69 & hope...

Plus, it gives me an excuse to go to Scott's !
