Where to put jack stands under a 68 cutlass convertable

I am starting to restore my 68 cutlass convertable. I bought 4 jack stands. Does anybody know or have photos as to where to put them in the front of the car?. The rear should be easy. I am going to put them under the axel. Please post or contact me. Thanks Brent in MN

what are you working on?

I put the jackstands at each of the corners by the front body mounts and behind the door and in front of the rear wheels axle is good if u don't need to work on it..

The front body mounts are behind the front wheels , just after where the fenders end and the front of the doors:-)

Depends on what you're working on - usually the frame behind the 4 bumper brackets is pretty safe.

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

You can put them darn near anywhere, and though the car may bend, it won't break.

Just make sure they're not on a curved or slanted part that is likely to slide, or on a soft part, like the floor, oil pan, or rocker panel, and you should be good.

There're a few places that will cause flexing that will make you upset (such as right under the door striker panel), but in general, when you let the car down, it will reassume its original shape.

Thanks to all of you for your reply. I just wanted it to be safe as we are going to replace all of the brake lines.
