Where do I cut a 1970 console for a dual gate shifter?
Where do I cut a 1970 console for a dual gate shifter?
I know there are lines inside that show where to cut for different shifters but which lines are for a dual gate? Any pictures or page number to pictures in the manual would be great. Also what screws do I use to mount the top plate? Thank in advance.
I haven't pulled my console and checked yet but I assume there are lines for the 4 speed adapter as well as the dual gate.
Also is it pretty obvious where the shifter brackets mount to the floor pan? I know when I installed the standard console shifter there were dimples in the floor pan where the shifter mounted

You can go to Assembly Manuals for the 1970 Olds A body and it has the cut lines.

I am not a member there. I do have the assembly manual though so. I guess I will dig it out and thumb through it to find the info I need. Any chance you know the page number? Thanks again.
Thanks for the page number. I can't locate my assembley manual right now but I did find what I needed here:

I cut the console tonight and will finish up the install in the morning. I need to get some screws for the top plate.
