I have two posi rear ends. Both are 1971 (10-bolt cover) The first one is in nice shape it has been sandblasted and painted black except for the cover and brake lines which have been painted white? It has a clearly visible SD (3.08) code. I bought it years ago used and have never had it in a car. It has the plain 10-bolt cover. I was thinking $6-800.
The other I also bought years ago and have never installed. I sandblasted it and it is heavily pitted and I cannot see any codes but it is the ribbed cover and I was told it came from a vista cruiser? I can only guess by spinning the axle one revolution and counting how many times the yoke goes around that it is either 2.56 or 2.78. I thought it might be worth $200.00?
I know they are worth whatever someone will pay but am I in the ballpark?
