Whats the strangest thing you found in your Oldsmobile
When I worked at a Vauxhall dealership I found a strip of metal inside a stick shift gearbox which came to light when I test drove the car prior to delivery and found I couldn't shift into third gear.
Roger.
Found a "1958 Connecticut State Highway Picnic Area Map" as well as church weekly bulletins from the early 1960's under the back seat of the '55 Holiday Sedan I pulled out of a barn (with a 1969 Inspection Sticker on the windshield) - also a couple of old school ice scrapers - the little 6 inch plastic ones
In my 69 4-door I found Contact information from the previous owner, didnt work when I tried to contact them. I found the owners manual, with the original protect o plate, a stick of deodorant, and a set of keys, not for the car.
In my 70 442, so far I havent found anything interesting, I hope once I finish peeling the trunk out, that the build sheet will be on the gas tank! *crosses fingers*

Not once, but twice, when pulling the right front fender off of '73 Cutlasses, a 1 1/16" Craftsman wrench was found stuck between the air conditioner box and the inner wheel well. That is the size used to remove the spindle nut on the rotor and the inner fender is a nice place to put the wrench down to pull the rotor. Then as you yank the rotor off you hear a sliiide, clunk!
The guy that did the body work on my Omega found an old drivers license of mine.I had hair down to shoulders.I said that's not me I never looked like that but that just made every body laugh even more.

A bunch of misc spent rounds in the bed of my 71 C1. Under a rubber mat.
2 scorpions in the oil pan in my 67 442
Lots of nuts and shells in all kinds of places. under the dash, in the vents, in the air cleaner, in the carb, in the intake, in the heads, in the cylinders. LOL
Dead mice
Lots of old change
Lots of pills :/
I saved the change, spent rounds, and of course the scorpions. Ill post pics when i get back on my computer.

In a 69 442 Conv----a Buick 455 motor. I also once bought a 66 442 in up state NY that was advertised as having a 400 motor (which would be correct) when I got it the 400 turned out to be a Pontiac and not a 400 but a 260 I think it was. Got a 67 442 out of Delaware--no keys so went into the trunk from the back seat--opened the trunk, jumped out, and a 6ft snake came right out with me---enough!
I found 2 Owners (Glove Box) Manuals in my '66 Delta.....One in English and the other was in French. I went back and asked the old GM mechanic guy I bought the car from and asked what that was all about.
He said the Old Lady who was the original owner was verrrry French and didn't care for the owners manual being in English so the dealership had to go about getting her a French manual. The car salesman's name was written on the cover of the book, kinda neat 'cause I knew him from years gone by through his daughter
....no pun intended.
Found one of those old time bean bag type ashtrays underneath the front seat passenger side. Apparently both previous owners frowned on anybody using the ashtrays in the car so they had to use the 'portable". The ashtrays look as though they never any butts put out or left in any of them. Several pennies, ball point pen, and an 8 track Elvis tape under the carpet
Also, when the car was in for a repaint, we had the seats and carpet out, there was about 1/4" thick grease smeared all over the floor pans covered with thick saran wrap type plastic...the jute underlay and carpets were on top of that.......what a job to clean that sh*t off......the floors underneath were like the day the car was born......right from the toe boards back to underneath the rear seats. No wonder my missus said she could always smell a faint trace of "something oily" in the car.
