Is the 2 foot width measured over the brackets or tanks?
If the radiator is 24" wide , the fan size is limited to about 20-24 ". Yes the radiator may be taller, but both core dimensions are limited by the height.
Fans of different diameters may be used to cover the core height X width. but two circles are hard to cover a taller than the height rectangle.
The allowable radiator envelope will be a challenge to obtain enough cooling.

I had the original radiator re-cored in my 1957 Olds with 4 cores using the original tanks which were in great condition and use a standard 6 blade clutch fan on the water pump. My 455 is a roller motor with ALU heads and 10.5:1 comp
No overheating issues. Cost some money but an easy fix

I just has the radiator in my 54 recored into a 3 core. The I used a Cooling Components Fan (#1740). The fan is thin and is mounted in a shroud that covers all but about the bottom 2 inches of the radiator. The shroud is pastic and I trimmed about 1/ inch off each side to get it to fit my radiator. It is a two speed fan and I used two 70 amp relays and a toggle switch under the dash to control the speed or to turn it off. I have about 1/2 inch between the back of the fan motor and the bolts holding my water pump pulley on. I have not had the chance to use it on a hot Texas day with the AC on but I think it is going to work okay, It move 2500 cfm.

Speedway Motors has an aluminum do it yourself radiator that you might be able to make work. You can mount it with the tanks on the top and bottom or on each side. You will need somebody that can weld aluminum since you place the filler and the inlet and outlet wherever you want. It is a lot less than what I paid to recore my radiator. I was unable to find an aluminum radiator to fit my 54 since the outlets were all on the wrong side. Of course I still have the original engine.
