Radiator top plate 68 or 69

Can I use a 69 top plate to install a 4 core radiator in my 68 Cutlass? They are much easier to find.

Do you have four core lower saddles? You can spread a regular non-four core 68 top plate to work. You can also use a 67 top plate and with a little modification it is exactly the same as a 68 four core top plate.

Yes I have the lower saddles, and probably will just modify the top plate. Was just thinking a 69 4 core plate would look better if it fit. They are reproduced so easy to find.

I don't think a '69 four row top plate is any easier to find than a '68 four row top plate. I have a half dozen '69 three row top plates but no four row plates.

Yeah they are being reproduced for around $125 by a couple different suppliers.
I know it wouldn't be correct but would probably look better than bending up my 68 plate

I'm pretty sure I have a spare 67 that is identical to the 68 four core except it has to be notched and a couple more holes drilled (and I believe the saddles widened) for $50 if you're interested.
