After seeing the Thornton '70 go through at $150k it's possible. Depends on who's looking. Surprised they didn't run it at B-J with that kind of status. Good looking pace car.

Where did you see $150K for a 442?

The $79,888.00 asking price or whatever the seller accepts for buy it now?
I doubt it goes for the asking price, 50k at the most IMO.
The car was refurbished a little, need a lot more work to bring it up to show standards.
Spend 200k at Thorntons to restore it and it may sell for 150k.
Why no pics of the engine or underbody?
I don't think anybody's going to offer 150k for the buy it now either.

Just go to new posts every time and you can find anything that was posted for the past couple of days and anything new.

I love these cars and think they are a bit under priced but in this market that's high - I would think 40 - 55k these days would get you a nice one anywhere.

It is amazing how with today's information so easily available people can screw up the description so badly

"rare front buckets" - buckets were standard in 442s a bench had to be special ordered. and I have never seen the less rare back seat buckets

"There were a total of 635,473 1970 Oldsmobile's produced in the year. 14,287 were produced as the "Pace Car" (WRONG), of those ONLY 2,933 cars were built as Convertible ( WRONG that is total 442 convertibles) and of that ONLY 268 (CORRECT) carried the extreme rare distinction of the Y-74 FULL out package 442 big block 455 cars, making this $447.61 add on option EXTREMELY RARE package then as even more so now.

Ugh, and it has a rear wing on it too, some convertibles look good with those, just prefer the pave cars without em.
