What is the Oldsmobile equivalent of

a 67/68 Impala fastback coupe?

I know the mid sized GM equivalents pretty well, but not what to compare in full sized.

Thank you.

I'm thinking Delta 88 for Olds, Wildcat for Buick, Pontiac...Hmmm..Catalina? Grand Prix?

Delmont 88. It was the closest to Impala price and equipment wise and could be had with either 330 or 425 (67) and 350/455 (68) engines. Deltas went up a couple notches on price and equipment and were closer to Buick territory.

Wildcats were also pricier than the Impala even in SS trim but LeSabres didn't really offer a performance option. Wildcat covered that market for Buick full-size.

Catalina was Pontiac's Impala equivalent. Bonnevilles and GP were aimed at a more expensive market, especially GP.

Those were years when GM really did have it all together. There wasn't a bad-looking car in the bunch and every one of them had their own styling identity. Nascent emission controls notwithstanding, performance was pretty good too even in the full-size cars.
