it has been a great transmission. I spent good money having this trans built about 9 years ago. My new engine makes considerable more power and i do not want to break this trans. I plan on doing more drag racing than cruising in this car now so i need it to be able to take a beating. I ran 12.0 with this trans and drove it through 6 states on power tour and various road trips. I definitely got my moneys worth so its time to retire it.

Piece another qjet together for my green 69. Found the main body has porosity between the idle air feed circuit and the fuel bowl-sucks because it’s the orig carb. Waiting on a part for the 495 in the red 69. Summer can’t come soon enough!

EFI Upgrade
Swapped my EZ-EFI for an XFI Street for more tune-ability.
Getting ready to start it up any day now. I plan to do this with the doors closed. It’s cold outside and I don’t care for the stink either.
Built an exhaust evacuation system out of a carpet drying fan. Hopefully 500 cfm is enough.

I got them from a guy at Carlisle last year. He had several kinds of led bulbs. I asked him for an 1157 replacement in red. I’m sorry I don’t recall any part numbers. Looks like the ones bassinguy got from Amazon will do the trick. I also did not change the front bulbs.

Today I installed a set of OEM rear suspension braces in my 72 442 convertible, that I picked up off of eBay for about $60.00
Car handles much better, less lateral movement in the back end on turns.
Great upgrade for little money

Hi RetroRanger,
Yes the turn signals are sequential also. These panels have 5 preset selections. I picked this set because they actually are powered by the bulb socket in the stock housing. So there is no hacking apart of the stock wire harness. The sequential pattern is controlled by a separate wire which is connected to an ignition sourced wire. I actually ran it up to the fuse block, But I put an RC quick disconnect in the housing so I can switch back to stock for judging with minimal effort.

Thanks Phoenix8990,
It was a labor of love and took over 7 years. 2005-2012. One project each year since it basically wasn't garaged. It was my Dad's car from 1980 till he passed in 1998. I did the car in his memory. I have been fortunate for the past 4 years to have a client that allows me to store it in their garage during the winter while they are in Florida. But she is an outdoor car the rest of the year under a car cover. This was it with him in Maine circa early 90's. He loved the car too, maybe not as much as I do but he loved cruising it to the beach and using it as his rolling tackle box ! LOL
