What was the finest Oldsmobile ever made, and why?
1969 Hurst / Olds
Why?? Because it was the best performing and most attractive of Oldsmobile's entire era.
Joint venture win. No other has this car's history or a busty model supporting it to make
it legendary.

I love Starfires but the 70 Toronado GT gets my vote. I had one a long time ago and it was amazing. Probably the smoothest V8 ever and power to spare, it drove very well for a huge car too. Every comfort feature was standard as well. Besides, it was fun to see people's reactions to smoking the front tires. (or was it tire?)
If I ever get the $$ I will have another one.

2001-2003 Aurora 250 net HP 30 mpg, comfort and body rigidity (you could flip the car, open the door and get out) and safety bags, leather, etc. and it was the last new top of the line Oldsmobile. As much as I love the old cars, this was the ultimate Olds because it can't be surpassed.
No question, the finest Oldsmobile ever built was an '87 Delta 88 Royale Brougham 2 door vin# 1G3HY1438H1804106. Just my strictly impartial opinion of course......
Other than that no other Olds represents what classic American cars are all about to me more than the '58 models, the more chrome laden the better. My drag racing friends assure me the muscle era models are the best, everyone posting an opinion on this thread is also quite right in their own view.
Of course there is no definitive best Oldsmobile, you might as well ask if a spade is better than an umbrella, depends on wether you want to dig a hole or keep the rain off.
