What to do with 14x6 SS1 Wheels

Converted my '69 442 to front disk brakes. Since original SS1 Rally wheels do not work with the disk brakes, they are just sitting around gathering dust. Not much of a market for them so decided to convert one into an electric wall clock. Took a little bit of effort trying to fit the clock mechanism inside the wheel, but managed to attach a bracket to the bolt on center cap. Hardest part was cutting the wheel in half.

I have too many myself. I would hate to throw them away, but they aren't worth much if anything at all

They make good garden hose holders, too.

Good idea w the clock!

ive got an 14” ss1 as my spare.

a 14”ss2 holds air and pressure washer hoses and extension cords (good capacity)

a second 14”ss2 i used as a base for a polisher

Re grinderstand

it works surprising well. I thought it might be topheavy but its fine no different then the stand next to it, plus its easy to move w the round base.

i added the foot pedal to one spot so i can apply some extra leverage and prevent tipping.

I wish I had a set of those drum brake only SS1's. If anyone in the deep south had some that were cheep I might be interested in acquiring them.

Those would be pretty expensive to ship and I don't want them bad enough to spend a bunch for shipping. I was hoping for a couple hours' drive from the Atlanta area, and I'd go pick them up. Or the Florida panhandle where I find myself quite a bit.
